KAMLOOPS, B.C. — Truckers may be in danger at the Sun Peaks Resort expansion in Kamloops, after bullets were allegedly fired at a truck yesterday.

Area Natives have been protesting the expansion, because they claim it infringes on their land. They have protested at the site and blocked traffic in and out of the resort during a protest last month.

But this latest attack is causing some concern among workers and truckers hauling construction products to the site.

The truck drive says he knows the sound of gunfire, and he’s sure the shots were no accident.

He reports hearing four rapid shots, and one of the tires on his truck exploded.

Police are investigating the incident.
