OTTAWA, Ont. – As part of the latest phase of its Driving the Future project, Trucking HR Canada is introducing a series of regional roundtables that will help trucking industry representatives discuss and define what truck drivers are expected to demonstrate on the job.

The end result of the roundtables will hopefully assist schools when developing training programs to better meet the industry’s needs.

“Each provincial association will invite a broad cross section of industry members to participate in the roundtables,” said Angela Splinter, CEO of Trucking HR Canada. “These moderated sessions will help us tap into their expertise so that we clearly understand what drivers need to know, and ensure that the information reflects regional realities.”

The roundtables are currently being scheduled for August, September, and October.
