DON MILLS, Ont. Truck drivers can now plan out their routes, estimate arrival times and calculate profits by using TruckMiles, the latest addition to Trucknews.com.

The handy new tool allows truckers to plan which routes will pay the most after calculating everything from your rig’s average miles-per-gallon to the percentage of the payment that ends up in your pocket.

You can also avoid toll roads, view a map of your route and pinpoint the driving time between any North American destinations.

“TruckMiles will enable owner/operators to weed out unprofitable loads while concentrating on the runs that will maximize their bottom dollar,” says Truck News editor, John Curran. “Considering the competitive nature of the trucking industry, this handy tool will help you gain an edge when planning your next trip.”

Truck News publisher, Rob Wilkins, says “Adding TruckMiles is the latest in a series of enhancements to the Truck News Web site. This is just another in a long list of reasons that Trucknews.com serves as the one-stop online resource for truckers.”

To use the new feature, simply click the TruckMiles link on the navigation bar to the left of the Truck News Web site and enter the required information.
