DON MILLS, Ont. — In an effort to give the trucking community easier access to the information it needs to keep rolling, back issues of Truck News and Motortruck are now available online.

Dating back to January 2000, the online archives are searchable in two ways.

“If you know the issue a story appeared in you can simply navigate to that issue and visually scan the headlines,” says John Curran, editor of Truck News. “Or, if you’re not exactly certain when the piece ran, you can do a keyword search that will pick up any related stories on that topic that have run over the past two years.”

Currently the January 2002 issue is the most recent text posted to the database, but the plan is to make monthly additions, adds Curran.

“At Truck News and Motortruck, we like to say we’ve got the industry covered,” says Rob Wilkins, publisher of the two Business Information Group publications. “Thanks to this significant investment in the area of reader services, we can now say this not only of the present and future — but of the industry’s past, as well.”

Visitors to the trucking industry’s leading information-based Web site, can simply click on the button marked, “Online Archives.” They are then given the choice of searching Truck News or Motortruck for the information they need.
