VIDEO REPORT: Massive T.O. transit fix could impact road users
TORONTO — There’s still a lot that’s up in the air concerning the $50 billion Metrolinx transit-transportation plan, but if proponents ever hope to complete even a handful of the 100 proposed projects, there’s little doubt that drivers are the ones who will eventually be asked to foot the bill.
The provincial agency has backed away from recommending road tolls, congestion fees and higher taxes — but only for now.
