Wabash names technology chief for maintenance-free trailer

LOUISVILLE, Ken., (Mar 30, 2004) — Wabash National Corp. has announced the appointment of Rod Ehrlich to Chief Technology Officer. In this role, Ehrlich will be pursuing the development of a ten-year, maintenance-free trailer, referred to internally as the “Wabash 10.”

The company is guaranteeing the new trailer will hold up to the rigors of the road, without so much as a brake check after 10 years.

“Wabash National is fortunate to have such an experienced and talented industry professional as our Chief Technology Officer,” Bill Greubel, Wabash National CEO, said in a press release. “With Rod’s leadership, we now will address costly maintenance areas, specifically in the undercarriage, with a goal of developing a ten year maintenance-free trailer design.”
