HOPE, B.C. — Westbound vehicles are being allowed through the section of the Trans-Canada Highway that was wiped out by mudslides Monday night.

However, highway crews are still clearing away mud and debris in the upper Fraser Valley and eastbound lanes between Bridal Falls and Hope are still blocked.

Huge boulders and logs were washed over the highway by the mudslides, causing a lot of work for highways workers. Several homes were also evacuated, and an abandoned minivan was wiped off the road.
