Western Star adds new Canadian dealer
PORTLAND, Ore. (Sept. 9, 2003) — Western Star Trucks has added six new locations to the company’s growing dealer network, including Cambrian Truck Centre, Inc. in Sudbury, Ont.
In March, Western Star — which along with Sterling Trucks falls under the Freightliner LLC umbrella — announced that it had increased the overall size of its dealer network by 70 locations or 35 per cent in18 months.
“Our intent is to grow the Western Star brand throughout the U.S. and Canada,” John Merrifield, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Western Star Trucks, said in a press release. “Expanding our dealer network is a key element in pursuing that goal.”
