Winnipeg Motor Express dispatcher wins inaugural award

WINNIPEG — One of the leaders in Canadian mobile communications, has awarded the 2005 Manitoba Trucking Association Dispatcher of the Year Award for the first time to Susan Pike-Campbell from Winnipeg Motor Express in Winnipeg.

“A dispatcher is a driver’s main stay, and often the only contact with the rest of the company, and plays a critical role in keeping the flow of information moving. A dispatcher is supposed to be a messenger, a listener and a troubleshooter,” says Cancom in a release.

“Sue is a very hard and diligent worker, she understands the needs of her drivers and the company. Sue has very good communication skills and is very organized,” said John Demelo, general manager of Winnipeg Motor Express.
