Workplace drug and alcohol training for supervisors

TORONTO, Ont. — The Ontario Trucking Association will offer training sessions for front-line supervisors who deal with workers employed in safety-sensitive positions who fall under U.S. regulations.

The U.S. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration stipulates that all persons designated to supervise drivers must be trained to regulation standards. This course meets and exceeds those standards as well as including the unique Canadian perspective.

Personnel affected include safety and driver supervisors, maintenance managers and supervisors, dispatchers — virtually anyone who regularly is in contact with employees deemed to be in safety-sensitive positions.

The comprehensive half-day course will take place on Feb. 20, at the OTA office. The cost for member-fleet delegates is $129 each and $169 for non-members. Contact Shelly Hill, at 416-249-7401 for more information.
