Yokohama teams with truck stop chain

FULLERTON, Calif. — As part of its ongoing plan to grow its fleet service, Yokohama Tire has entered inked a deal with Petro Stopping Centers.

Under the agreement Yokohama commercial truck tires are now available in all 36 Petro corporate locations and will soon be available in various franchise locations early in 2002. Additionally, Petro will service all Yokohama national accounts, giving fleets access to Yokohama tires and Petro service, immediately.

“Yokohama is excited to be teaming up with Petro — today’s premier road service provider, offering emergency road assistance and expanded service availability,” says Yokohama executive vice-president in charge of the Business Division, Jim MacMaster.

“Yokohama’s goal is to continue expanding our leading customer service network for our commercial customers,” continues MacMaster. “Petro’s reputation for prestigious service and its national reach are a perfect fit for Yokohama and our customers.”

Petro vice-president in charge of Lube Operations, Dave Latimer, suggests the partnership will give significant convenience to thousands of truck drivers by offering them the product they want at more interstate locations, through the company’s network, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
